bone lab
Keltenmuseum Hallein
2021

A new interactive exhibition space has been expanding the Hallein Celtic Museum since July 2022.
The bone laboratory in the Hallein Celtic Museum is expanding the exhibition of original bone finds from the Dürnberg to include active research on plastic models and medical teaching materials. Interactive hands-on stations convey the methods of anthropological research to visitors of all generations. The design concept takes up the laboratory character and invites the visitors to touch and browse with numerous shelves, drawers, and pull-outs. The exhibition furniture integrates harmoniously into the striking building architecture and emphasizes its formal language. The new bone laboratory expands the permanent exhibition with many interactive elements and merges into a harmonious overall picture.
